I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT with a little over 58,000 miles on it. When I have the gear in drive and I'm at a stop, i.e., at a stoplight, on occasion I will hear knocking noises underneath the hood. This does not happen every time, though (maybe 30% of the time). I'm wondering if this could be the timing belt? (I plan to get it changed out this week, being that 60,000 is the standard for changing out a timing belt.)
