...squealing stops after being driven a? My car squeals on start up from under the hood and continues to squeal until it has been driven a short distance, usually just a couple blocks. Once you take off there is a noticeable loss of power in the car until the squealing noise has stopped. I have no idea what could be wrong, though, I suspect a belt from the squealing noise and I'm, concerned that it could be the timing belt so I've stopped driving the vehicle just in case because I don't want to have to replace the valves if it were to break. I'm really unfamiliar with auto mechanics and would appreciate some advice if someone could help.
