Hi, I have a 2009 Hyundai accent 5 speed manual hatchback. I've been considering putting some performance parts such as AEM cold air intake, 17' racing rims (18 inches cause problems with accents, Stage II/III clutch, Performance Exhaust (not sure what one yet). Now to my main question I'd like to add a turbo to my car but I've heard from many people that it causes your car to not retain its reliability and will kill the engine faster. This confuses me because some cars come with turbos? for example my friend has a 1998 bug with a turbo already installed and he bought the car from the dealer that way, so how come some cars can handle it yet others cant i mean generally speaking, I'm not talking about like a Porsche can handle it yet my Hyundai cant, I'm saying like a Volkswagen and my car. Also I heard that you can install a supercharger and have less problems. Can somebody explain how this works, or if I could install a turbo and have my car last just as long as if I didn't, I'm not looking to beat on it just to have a little fun and have a project.
