Kia Optima ?

Does the 2008 Kia Optima look any different than the 2009 Kia Optima?

Yes.
It has a new face in the front, new wheels, and a slightly different rear.
But the same mechanically.

They basically look the same but there are a few changes. The 2009 is a few inches longer and has a slightly wider wheel base. The grill has changed a bit as well. They pretty much smotthed it out a little to make it look more like a sedan instead of a smaller foreign car. Either one wouldn't be bad to own.
