I just bought a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon 5 speed 4 cyl from a dealership over the weekend, Today is wed, so ive had it a whole 3 or 4 days and the car is making a noise already... Now when i test drove the car it didnt make the noise at first, and i didnt drive it very long, but to me it sounded like i was grinding the gear,(it has been a while since i last drove a stick shift) but after i let my dad drive it he says that thats not the sound its making so i dunno, Starting up everything is fine shifting into first gear everything is fine, then when i go to shift into second it makes some kind of metal on metal grinding noise just about everytime i shift into second, thats upshifting and downshifting, im not real sure whats wrong with it, but im not a big time car guy, now it doesnt do this every time, usually if it has sat all day long then i go get in it and go it doesnt do it until the 3rd or 4th time shifting into 2nd, im just needing some piece of mind, because im getting really anxious thinking i just bought a car and its already gonna need a new clutch or something... and another thing is its not just a noice on the inside of the car, i let my dad drive it to see if he could tell what it was(he drove in a parking lot) so i was pretty close, when he went to shift into second it is quite loud outside of the car as well, so i dont know what that means but maybe someone can help a Tiburon newb.
