I have a 2000 Kia Sportage 4x4, manual. I’ve been having sporadic problems with it dying right after starting. It will turnover and start, and then it looses RPMs and dies. I have to keep trying a few times to get it to start and stay running. A couple days ago I turned it on no problem drove around the block and it died while I was in second gear.
This problem doesn’t occur all the time. I’ve taken it in to the mechanic several times but they haven’t been able to figure it out. They changed the fuel filter and added fuel injector fluid, but the problem persists.
