Kia Sportage as first car

Hi I am looking into cars that are small but are also good in the snow.. since winter is coming up.. do you guys feel that kia sportage year 2000 and up are good first cars?

unless its a 2005 and up with the newer body styles dont get it. they have problems with reliability i've read a lot about them because there cheap.

From 2000-2002, they were improving with reliability, but they did not become great cars until 2003.

But it should be a good first car. Cheap and good in snow.
The Sportage is not known for having many problems so it should be a good choice.

My sister bought a Kia Sportage in October 2007. It is a 2000 model. She has had to replace so many things that went wrong. It is deffinately now a good first car.....
