Please share advice on KIA RIO?

I am looking to buy a new KIA RIO and also considering a pre-owned (used) one from 2004 and up. Can you share your experiences (good and bad)

2004 and up-Thats good. They have no common problems. Just know that they do not come standard with A/C so make sure it has one if you want one.

In the 90's, Kia and Hyundai were bad cars.
From 2000-2002, they were starting to improve a lot and everyone started noticing them.
2003 and newer is good for a Kia.

My brother-in-law just told me his Kia dropped a valve. Don't know the year, model or mileage becase I can't possibly give a crap about Korean cars. Buy something better, like GM, Ford, Studebaker.
