...mechanic it turns out its just.? The actual switch and knobs. So now I just need that one part however I can not find the part for sale anywhere. Also, I'm not sure what to call it, would it be the "ac switch housing"?

I had to replace a switch like that on my car-a Ford. Try going to a Hyundai dealership with a parts department. I had to go through a Ford dealerships parts department to get mine. As far as i know mine was just called a AC on off switch.....there probably is a more technical term for it though. They will be able to figure it out.
There are alot of parts like that your basic auto parts store such as autozone does not deal in because they usually dont go bad. You end up having to go back to the dealer for them.
Also you can always check a salvage yard(junkyard) if you are on a budget.
