...to fix it? I have been putting transmission fluid into it every other day, and I have also put 2 bottles of stop leak into it and the leak still continues. When I am driving the car it hesitates to go into reverse and drive at times, until I put fluid into it. I have gotten estimates and of course they are astronomical ($1700-$3300) any Ideas on how I can possibly patch the problem without spending alot of money that I really do not have?
The dealer says that it is not under warranty, and the estimate that I have received is saying that the fourth gear is slipping which is why the car is loosing power to go into reverse or drive without fluid in it. Once I put fluid in it drives but you definitely feel the difference. Again I do not have the estimated 1-$3000 that is being proposed to fix this. I am just trying to see if there is a possible patch which can be done to keep the car running.
