Yeah, what a great deal ! I have been back 5 times since I purchased it in May with transmission problems. The dealer keeps claiming that there is nothing wrong with it, but it bucks and hesitates into 3rd gear and gets worse from there. They claim they cannot 're-produce' the problem I describe and they have 're-programmed' the computer to make it shift better, but there has been no difference.
Just looking for a little feedback because I have been considering trading in it (at a disgusting loss - these cars lose value faster than ice cream melting, so I have found out)
And FYI, anyone considering purchasing a Sportage....they aren't making them anymore - go figure......
I have looked into the Lemon Laws in NY - the dealer has to be able to reproduce the problem and make 4 attempts at fixing it - they keep saying they cannot get the tranny to do what I say its doing - I have taken them for a ride with me and the dealer stated 'that's the way all of them shift'
I know they are full of cr*p and I would love to prove I am right....but at what cost to my mental health and how long will it take !!!!
