...transmission is out? I was at a stopsign and my car suddenly would not move. It shifts in gear but will not go. It was fine earlier and I can't understand what happened so suddenly. I had my car towed home and was told it could be the transmission. It has fluid in it, so does this mean that I need a new transmission?
When the car starts now it makes a funny noise that it didn't before. The car is automatic and shifts easily in gear but will not move. When I had the car towed home, I was told it could be the transmission needs to be replaced. Is this the problem and if so how long does it take to repair?
