My fiance's Accent started acting funny this morning. We drove it around last night with no problems. Got home, went to bed. This morning, she tried to drive it to work. As soon as she got on the interstate it started reving but didn't to go, and then wanted to take off even if she wasn't into the gas.

She limped it home and i took her to work. I ran a scan and the only error code was a 1529 from the TCM. I had this on my Santa Fe but it was along with another code for the speed input sensor (which replacing fixed). This is just 1529 and no other error code.

I reset the codes and when i tried to take it for a drive and put it in reverse- nothing. The engine would respond as you'd except to the gas pedal, but it was like the car was in neutral. So i pushed in out and put it in drive and took it for a short spin. Drove fine. No problems. No check engine light.

Got back home and tried reverse again- nothing. just like it was in neutral. I checked the shifting mechanism under the battery. Seems to be stopping in the right spots- but that doesn't mean it's working on the inside. IF that is even a problem.

Any thoughts? With out another error code, i'm stumped.

Thanks,
Chris
