Yes I drive an excel, my mum gave it to me when I turned 17 and Ive had it about 2 years. Its a good car and all I can afford for now. In the past week my car has been leaking water and getting a bit hot on the temperature thing. Everytime it got hot I would pull over, check the water, wait for it to cool a bit then take off. It was fine for a couple of days but we took it to my dads mates mechanic shop. He did a pressure test and couldn't find the cause of the leak. I booked it in for a full service checkup in 2 weeks cause he's going on a trip and is fully booked until he gets back! After he looked at it didn't leak for about 5 days, then I noticed it was getting hot again and the water was empty. I had to fill it up twice a day. Yesterday I was driving home and it was nearly overheated! I had to keep stopping, putting water, waiting to cool, then driving another km before stopping again! My car finally died after 2 ks of some wierd rattling noise! Had to call my dad to come get me he checked the oil and water it was fine. I don't know much else about cars? It won't be getting fixed till my dads mate gets back so I was wondering if anyone had a clue as to what is wrong with it! Bloody excels!!
