...please, need advice!? Ok here is the deal...I have been pondering a used car purchase for over a week. I saw a kia Amanti that was over priced at a dealership according to KBB, so I went online and found a couple who is older, who has one for sale. It is priced well under KBB. It's a 2005, with 70,000 miles on it, and they want 7500,00 (was asking 7950.00 originally). It comes with remote starter and fully loaded with leather seats and power moon roof. I think it is a good price for the car HOWEVER THIS IS MY DILEMNA....I cannot get support from my boyfriend to buy it because he is telling me Kia is a bad brand and if I take a 4 year loan for this car, the car will not last the length of the loan since it is a Kia. He is the only one (other than the guy selling the car who talks a GRAET game) who has given me any opinion on it.

I do not want someones opinion who has had a kia different than the Amanti, please. I would really like to know if this is a good sturdy car for me and my two kids. We are somewhat rough and I put a lot of miles on vehicles. It has a lot of airbags and felt safe. I would like opinions of people who have owned these or know someone who has, have test driven them, or mechanics especially...do you see alot of these? If I needed little repairs, like headlights and stuff, does that stuff have to be special ordered? Is it regular gas or premium? Expensive tires? I have been racking my brain with this because I do not know what to buy!!!

Finally, I would be willing to take opinions on what a good car would be for me if you don't know about the Amanti. I don't really like tiny cars like 4 cylinders but would consider the,. My price range is 3-8k, it should be at minimum a 2004, and I would like it to have less than 70k miles on it so in that price range what could I get. I need something that will be durable and last a long time, and something that is fun on the inside, like loaded with a fun instrument panel. I hate to sound like a woman with that, but I just do not seem attracted to cars with nothin on the inside that is luxurious, but I can take opinions nonetheless. Here is what I like that I can NOT seem to afford given my criteria, but so you know what appeals to me: Honda CR-V, Nissan ALtima, Ford five-hundred, Murano (crossover), and Honda accord. I can't seem to find a car that is new enough, with the right price, the right feel, and right mileage. The closest I have come is the Kia Amanti, but I don't want to make the wrong decision!!

Thank you all so much for your opinions, I will probably check this thread 5 or 6 times in the next couple hours, I am excited for opinions. Thank you! (and please tell me if you are mechanic, owner, car salesmen, etc)
