oil spraying From my 2005 Kia Amanti?

we have a 2005 kia amanti and we changed the oil a couple weeks ago. Today we went to walmart and notice the engine was smoking so we parked it and check the oil and it was completely drained of oil. We put 2 quarts of oil in just to see if it would leak and after we started the car and turned it off the oil was on the ground completely drained again. We bought a oil filter and 5 quarts of oil and changed it and once we started the car it started to spray oil like it was puking. My hubby said it looked like it was coming from the oil pan. Any Ideas of to what it is? We know its not the oil pump or other wise it wouldnt have been spraying oil so we are stumped for an answer. We really dont want to go to a mechanic unless we absolutely have to. Sorry this is so long but thanks :)
