ADVICE PLEASE? I have a 2002 hyundai elantra. I ran into the back of some other car while in traffic, just learning to drive a stick, I slammed on the break stalling it out and hit the guys car doing no more then 10 miles an hour. there was no damage to his car and only a slight 1 inch crack in my bumper. when driving away the clutch was over revving. I could be in 4th gear doing no more then 30 miles an hour, it was just revving really high. I replaced the clutch, wasn't it. I replaced the clutch master cylinder and the clutch slave cylinder. It tend to work for like 5 minutes but i think it was the clutch slave cylinder, may be the other though, keeps popping out of joint ( it compresses together and it pops out) my dad made a plate to keep that in, but the problem still exists of the over revving and not going the speed for the rev. My dad is a mechanic, but he is bewildered by this. I do have a crankshaft position sensor bad, could this be the problem or is it a problem in the transmission? please someone help.
I asked my dad and he said he put the clutch in right, so idk this car gives me a headache. Its just a big waste of money Cuz i keep buying new stuff for it and I'm getting no where, I even have replaced the alternator!
oh and I had my fly wheel shaved
