Is there anyways to bypass the rev limiter on a 2003 Kia Rio?

i have a 2003 kia rio and the rev limiter is starting to make the rev limiter jump from 3500 to 6200 to 5000 and i was wondering if there was any way to take the rev limiter out or adjust it or does it have like a learn mode in the computer i just want the car to stop having erratic revs.
