I just paid $409 today to have my kia rio (2005) fixed. They charged my $200 something for the tps and $95 for the Dianostics labor. and some other small charges. They car worked for a few hours with no issues. I drove about 50miles today. However, on my way home today, it started acting up right before I got home, I have very lil power and the Car has a mid-high idol when in Neutral. Would the work and all the stuff I paid midas for today be under warranty? Can I take my car in and have it fixed for free? Any Information asap would be greatly appreciated!
okay, Midas is closed and doesn't reopen until tomorrow morning. I turned the car on tonight to move it for a sec. It seems to be feeding gas without me even pushing the pedal. This is still a TPS thing correct?

The answer to your Question is a resounding yes Midas does stand behind their work. But remember TWO very important things about replacing any of the computer controlled items. any one of them could cause the vehicle to operate strange or erratic for the first several miles. and have Midas go back through the repair just to make shure your T.P.S. is operating correctly and that the unit is the correct one for your vehicle. I have had miss boxed items myself in the many years that I have been a mechanic. OH!! one thing go back tomorrow while the repair is still fresh in their minds and don't Forget your invoice!!!

Good Luck

You let Midas work on your car? They barely know mufflers. All check engine light problems are under federally mandated emissions warranty for at least 5 years or 50,000 miles. You should have checked with the dealer first. If you are inside the warranty period, the repair is always free.
