Please help, trying to save money desperately. I have a hesitation problem as I am accelerating in my hyundai elantra 2003(Gls) 2.0L standard, I lose the acceleration intermittently then it accelerates normal, (slight whiplashes if you will). I changed the spark plugs, air filter, cleaned the throttle body. The hesitation went away for awhile after I changed the spark plugs, but its coming back. please someone what can this be, one of the sensors perhaps? How can I check w/out mechanic. NO engine light is on. I tried to adjust the valves as they were getting noisy and found that the valves are hydraulic and do not need adjusting??? That is what a manual said. Any advice in the right direction is helpful. Thanks all.
