I really like both cars (the kia a bit more), but my parents think that they're too small and therefore dangerous for a first car. However, they're ranked 1 and 2 in their class for safety by the IIHS, and all the websites say that the civic is the best choice for a first car (and the forte is very similar to the civic). So what do you think?
