Is the 2006 Kia Rio any good? How's the quality and reliability?

I've never owned a Korean car before. I've also checked some of the Kia car dealers' prices and they are not cheap. All previous and current Kia Rio owners, please give me some inputs.
If you've dissatisfied with your Rio, what's another alternative would you suggest?
