Does anyone know if the Kia Sportage can pull a two-horse horse trailer?

I'm thinking of buying a used Kia Sportage 2001, and want to make sure it can pull a horse trailer.

NO WAY!!! The vehicle is only 130 HP. I would not tow anything more than 1000 pounds. You need a full size pickup to tow a 2 horse horse trailer (with horses)

It depends on the weight of the trailer. So find out what the trailer ways in total (empty weight plus cargo weight, including the horses), and then look at your owner's manual to see what the maximum towing capacity is. You also want to check your manual for other requirements like brakes and lights. Don't exceed the towing limits specified in your owner's manual.

I'd be surprised if the Kia Sportage has enough towing capacity to pull a trailer with two large horse, but again it depends on the total trailer weight to be sure.

There are lots of vehicles that will pull a loaded trailer with two horses, not just a "full sized pickup" as suggested above.
