Honking 2004 Kia Optima?

Last night my new-to-me 2004 Kia Optima started honking all by itself. It honks anywhere from every 30 seconds to 10 minutes. How can I get it to stop? What is causing it to honk? Will this honking continue or affect the car's driving ability?

Faulty Alarm system perhaps? Take it back where you bought it since it is new to you.
