As previously mentioned, size is one difference, along with price, engine, standard features and overall looks, MPG is the same as is the towing capacity, 18 inch wheels and 5 star crash ratings all around. Personally I think the exterior of the Veracruz is a bit plain and prefer the Santa Fe. I think the Santa Fe is the best value of the 3 Hyundai SUV's, the Veracruz is only slightly larger and slightly more powerful, but cost about $5000 more. The Veracruz has the better transmission, 6 speed instead of 5 speed, it also has luxury features like power lift gate and rear A/C.
