around 33 to 35k. And, by the way, depending on equipment choices, you may be within 2 or 3 thousand of the SanteFe. You get a lot of extra features in the VeraCruz that cost extra on the SanteFe. Also. Most SUV's are depreciating a minimum of 18 to 24% the first year. Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota get a little better, but still, the price of fuel is killing most of the larger vehicles.
If you look around you can save a ton of money on a "Demo" or "program" car. If it was a demo, and never titled it may still qualify for the 100k full warranty. And, by the way in real driving, the fuel difference between The two is only about 1mpg.
Hope this helps.
By the way, go to consumerreports.com they have all of the newer vehicles rated on a point scale and they actually test them and give honest reports. This may be a valuable shopping tool.

Depending on the market you're in and the packages you choose, expect to pay between 32 -37,000. "Fully loaded" also depends on whether you get a rear seat entertainment system or the Navi system. Those options will put you closer to the 37K range. If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, you can opt for an '07 model. Most dealerships are getting rid of these at drastically reduced prices. But hurry on that one as there are only a few left in all markets at this time. Also, you may want to read the review performed by motortrend magazine where they put the Veracruz against the Lexus RX 370. Should give you some additional insight to what a truly great SUV this is.
