how to fix headlight switch on a hyundai santa fe?

My high beams work but my low beams don't on my 2003 hyundai santa fe. I checked both the bulbs and the fuses and both are good. So I'm figuring it's the switch that's gone bad. Is there a way to fix it on my own

to fix you would need to replace, which is a bit of work so you would need a repair manual. Also remember if working on steering column you need to deactivate air bag for your own safety. If you are not familiar with this procedure you had better leave it to a trained mechanic. but first check the relay. since some are the same you can switch around to see if this is the problem before you buy a new one. they are in main fuse panel under the hood on drivers side, I think
