It means you have a cooling problem.

The likely causes are one or more of the following, all easily remidied:

A bad thermostat.
The fan-belt is slipping (if it's belt-driven)
The fan motor is failing (if it's not belt-driven it's electric)
Your coolant needs replacing. Have the cooling system flushed and new coolant put in.
