Has anyone had problems with Hyundai Accents?

Just want to know what mechanical issues to look out for. I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent.

As long as you don't run it too hard you should be ok. It's a small car with a small engine so you can't "push" it too much, but they're usually ok.

Make sure to have your transmission fluid serviced (drained) at 30,000 miles and your timing belt replaced before 60,000 miles to maintain your 10 year, 100,000 mile power train warranty. Also, I recommend getting your oil changes done at the dealer because some Hyundai's require Hyundai brand oil filters. Also, you'll have good records of Hyundai service in case the engine has a problem.
