I hope someone can help. Over the last month or so and multiple trips to the mechanic, we can`t figure out what`s going on with my car. The engine does not fire up at all when turning the key. you can hear a click, the lights come on, but the engine does nothing at all. We`ve had a new battery and starter put in, yet the problem still happens. It will be fine for a week, then one day it will just not start. The Mechanics can not diagnose the issue because every time we have it towed to the shop, the car will start when it`s dropped off. They said everything under the hood looks okay. There are no issues with it stalling, when it`s running it`s fine, just on startup. I just got a jump to see if the battery was not keeping a charge (suggesting possibly the alternator) but it still did not start. the lights come on in the car when the key is turned, and all of the lights on the dash come on (check engine, oil etc) . The last time this happened, I was in a parking lot waiting for a tow. I kept cranking it and after about 15 minutes it started up. This is a terrible situation to be in, to have a car with this issue and not be able to fix it. It`s 5 years old, only has 56,000km and I have always kept proper maintenance with oils and fluids. Can anyone offer up suggestions on what this might be. I`m hoping someone has had a similar situation that can shed some light to the possible problem. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me
