Well the dealer will only demand the "top selling" trims and combinations of the coupe, and demand very few of specific or high trim levels. Basically, they request the factory to send what they believe is gonna sell more. Unfortunately, your choice of trim, engine, or color, etc was not available. The freight costs are the destination costs which are about $795 for Asian cars, USUALLY. You're best bet is to go to different dealers until you find what you want. or you can order one from the dealer and wait about 4 months for it. I ordered my 2006BMW 5 with my colors and engine choices, and i waited 5 months for it. Remember that Hyundai sells about 700,000 vehicles annually, so there must be a car of you choice in one of your local dealers.

Car companies generally don't include "destination" fees (cost of transport) in the price. But they always charge you it. It's b.s. when you think about it because it's already on the lot; you didn't order it they did...but that's the way things work.

Tell them you're going to go buy a mazdaspeed 3 and they'll probably cut the b.s.

Are these 'freight costs' the destination charges or are you saying that they are adding this amount on AFTER destination charges?

If they are charging destination AND a freight charge, don't do business with that dealership. It just isn't worth dealing with crooks.
There are plenty of online resources that allow you to 'build your vehicle' and then have them find it for you.

They are 100% lying to you through their teeth, just tell them straight up they are lying and that your gonna go buy a something else like the other guy said. Buying a car from the factory is EXACTLY the same as one already on the lot and it shouldn't cost any extra. This is one of the oldest dealer scams in the book.
