ive wired a few sound systems in a few different cars before but im having issues with this kia. the deck installed cleanly with a signal running properly through the sub-out rca's and a current in the remote wire. However the amp wont power on properly, even though it tested successfully at the store and in a mazda 3 i also wired.
my question really i guess is, is there anything different about the power from the battery or grounding to the frame that is different in a kia. The current wiring configuration has a 4gauge cable with fuze running to the rear of the vehicle and mating ground cable affixed to a bolt into the frame under the trunk matting.
thank you in advance for any help
ive been using a set of lights to test connections. even straight from the negative lead on the battery to the frame as a ground and still get no light even then when in the mazda i am able to do so from the power and ground leads on the amp. ALSO the amp does work in the mazda
