Whats your opinion on a Kia Rio?

Im 17, and am 5 weeks away from buying my first car. I went looking at some last week with my dad, and we found a Kia Rio, 2009 model, Manual with 16,000kms. I have heard some horror stories about a few older models of Kia's but I was wondering if anyone know what this more recent model was like?

honestly Save more money and buy the upcoming NEW rio they look awesome plus they have newly designed motors

BTW ignore the old models..not the best but kia is under hyundais arm these days and make quality cars. I drive a 2011 kia cerato. love it!!!

I've driven a 2008 Rio for the past 2 years, and love it! It's a hatchback, but I don't think it should make much of a difference either way, as it's the same car. It's pretty good on gas, and I love that even though it's quite small, it has 4 doors. I'm not a car person, so I can't tell you really specific details, but my baby's done well the past couple years, and the insurance isn't too bad. Good luck finding your first car!
