i read a Car & Driver road test featuring both of these cars a few years ago, they're very similar. i'd personally opt for the Camaro. it probably handles the worst out of the two, but Chevy has been building high-powered V6's for a long time and it probably has a longer lifespan because of which. this is Hyundai's first real performance car, they've never made an engine this powerful before and it wouldn't surprise me if the Genesis had a few issues after 100k.
also, have you considered a Nissan 350/370Z? if you're willing to sacrifice the backseat, the Z's are generally better driving cars and you'll have a lot more fun. plus, you can get a used 350Z for half the cost of either one of your choices.

2011 Mustang V8.
A Camaro with a V8 is good too.
These are Performance cars Not economy cars, they NEED a V8.
