key sticking in ignition

How is this Happening? I insert my key in the ignition and start the car. Drives and functions normally. At shut off turn key off but wont go to off position just to the accessory postion and thats it. only way ignition to go to the fully off position is if the battery is almost completely drained.? Puzzled!!!!:mad:

Not the true solution, however kia fortes come equipped with a fuse that pops out of the fuse box in the passenger compartment that turns off interior lights, clock and buzzard, for storing your kia for long periods of time. Pulled this fuse and now can turn car off and take the key out. Funny as this may sound, it does the trick. Only drawback is that I have to reset my clock everytime, but small price to pay versus jumping car to start. Thanks for looking and hope this helps anyone of you that needs a quick fix. Lunaticwv:)
