I just went to change the brake pads and the guy show me the axles, he just told they need to be replace ASAP because they can brake.

Roughly $200 for both half shafts with core exchange. Then look on craigs for an out of the garage mechanic to do the install. Ask for refferences, labor shouldn't be more than $100 for both. Your total is $300. Or, do it yourself. Google for instructions, it all over the web.
