I have a 2002 Kia Rio with 83,000 miles and the other day it starting making this horrible grinding scratching clanking noise from the from left side of the transmission. When I press the clutch in, it goes away, and when I let it out half way it begins. I believe to internet research* that it is the throw out bearing. Need some advice? Also, how much of a pain is this going to be to replace or am I better just pushing the car off a cliff to avoid future frustration?
